The Advisory Committee can be comprised of sex workers and allies, which can include clients, with experience in the areas of business or granting programs in Canada.
The group will meet virtually a minimum of twice annually to review and provide guidance on the application process and review and vote on a ranking of applicants to be done as a blind selection and the final results of which to be given to the Selection Committee for their consideration.
The Advisory Committee should identify additional funding programs or resources that might be available to the applicants for their projects and help locate mentors to support the successful applicant(s).
This committee will be supported by an admin coordinator. The anticipated commitment is approximately 20 hrs annually.
The Selection Committee will be comprised of 3 to 5 current or former sex workers in Canada to meet at least twice annually to discuss policy, review and vote on applicants. The anticipated commitment is approximately 20 hours annually.
The Selection Committee should, with the assistance of input from the Advisory Committee, select a mentor to support and track the progress of the successful candidate(s).
This committee will be supported by an administrative coordinator and receive the input of an advisory committee.
The Fundraising Committee can be comprised of sex workers and allies, which can include clients, with experience in the areas of fundraising, business or charitable sector.
The group will meet virtually a minimum of twice annually to review and implement an annual fundraising program with inputs from the Selection and Advisory Committees.
This committee will be supported by an admin coordinator. The anticipated commitment is approximately 20 hrs annually.
The Administrative Coordinator will support the committees by setting draft agendas, participating in discussions, making notes of discussions & decisions in meetings, helping to coordinate & dialogue between committees and drafting documents, forms and letters as needed. The Administrative Coordinator can also be given signing authority to disperse payments.
The Financial Coordinator will oversee the accounts, budget and fundraising; provide reports and guidance to the Committees in the execution of their fiduciary responsibilities. The Financial Coordinator can also be given signing authority to disperse payments.
